My installation was entitled, "Warming Beach Blues", and the owner of the OBX Art Truck, Nora Hartlaub, and I used found discarded plastic beach chairs that she collected from the roads around the outer banks. We then arranged them to create an arching warming color gradient.
The OBX Art Truck is a 1991 Ford f150 pick-up that hosts exhibitions of artists and performers in her bed as she traverses the rural and coastal communities of North Carolina. She is a temporal experiment aimed at providing an intersection between conceptual artists from the Southeastern United States and communities historically underexposed to contemporary practices in the arts.
